I understand that robots are in a way going to change our lives in the near future but I find the cockroach robot designed by some European scientists a stupid idea.

The so-called cockroach robot makes the real cockroach believe that it is one of their kinds. The reason being that the cockroaches have bad sight and they are unable to figure out that the robot is in actual a box on wheels. The robot is covered with cockroach pheromones that put the cockroaches to death when they come near to it.

I would better prefer a cockroach spray to do the work rather than instead of wasting my time to place the robot cockroach here and there in different rooms at my home.

Just can’t keep myself from laughing but the picture you are seeing above is male and female mouse.

They look like artifacts or some kind of a poor and silly joke but what I can tell you is this that mouse on the left hand is male why because it sans all the apparels and glitter that you can associate with the mouse on RHS.

Another fact for the RHS mouse you will see some flowers also in the picture now tell me can it be male.

Though a pretty insane and weird idea they come at a price of 12,600 yen which when converted in dollars come to $109.

Lemme make one thing clear, I’m all for the innovative gadgets. Sometimes though, a product comes along that seeks to push the edge a bit too far for my liking. I mean, yes, one would like to see new features added to an existing product but not at the cost of features that are quintessential to its existence.

So what is the point of adding dialing buttons to a device that is going to be attached to your ears all the time? Darfon obviously thinks otherwise. It has produced a Bluetooth device that has got its own, believe it or not, keypad. All this so that there is no need to take out your Bluetooth-enabled phone from your pocket. Equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, you can make the calling operations from this headset alone.

Pricing and availability are still a mystery, and I would hope it remains so.

The design has basic flaws that the company apparently wants us to overlook. Firstly, who would rather take the headset off from the ear instead of reaching out for the cell phone? Secondly, for all its ingenuity, the device lacks a display panel, so we would never know if the number has been keyed in correctly. Last but not the least; the headset is bigger than some of the sleek mobiles out there.

The verdict - a strict no-no.

Bored of getting up in the mornings with those irritating buzzes of your mom’s favorite oldie alarm clock? Well, I’ll tell you a way by which you can ‘alarm’ your mornings with an innovative time-piece trying to wake you up. Now your mornings will begin with action! Just hit it right on the head and you will feel better after taking out your anger on the device. Roger Ibars has designed an amazing Gun-Operated Alarm Clock!

Ibars customized an old gaming light gun by putting in some slant-sensors and connecting it to an alarm clock. Wring off a few cycles for a little snooze action and you can also set the alarm and time with the gun. It is only an abstract design, so just envisage shooting someone when you strike on that alarm clock every morning.

People and designers
are now more aware of the alternative sources of energy like sun and wind. Some people create some good stuff using these energy sources and some just give it a try with some senseless products.

This product is of the second kind. The Elica lamp made by an Italian design firm has an attached wind sensor to it and is priced at $200.

All the work the wind energy does in the lamp is that it can switch the lamp on and off. All you have to do is to blow on the ‘helix’ or propeller attached to the lamp to turn it on or off. Otherwise the lamp is totally powered by an electrical socket.

The lamp priced at $200 will not attract many buyers or should I say no buyers at all...!

A weird Bicycle that can be steered both from front and rear and you sit on it sideways.

The bicycles have been in the production for the past many decades and they haven’t evolved in terms of design and shape radically but Michael Killian has other big ideas. He is the owner and the inventor of a sideways bike. He recently patented his bike.
For balancing you use your back and front balance not the sideways balancing that you use in conventional bicycle.

The bike has front and rear steering system which makes it more maneuverable than the conventional single steer bicycles.

Killian is bidding for the UKP 100,000 cash award in the on going competition of Sky One’s hit popular show The Big Idea TV show next Saturday and has managed to reach last 36 contestants.

He will be allowed 3 minutes of pitching time to impress 3 judges which include Ruth Badger, a finalist of The Apprentice, Lord Karan Bilimoria of Cobra beers and Craig Johnston who invented the Predator Football Boots.

Cyclists don’t have to worry while taking turns, especially when they are rocking the streets in the night. These Glove-mounted indicator lights with strong LED’s makes your turns a lot more safer as they are bright enough to be easily visible in day or night to any body behind you. These lights go on automatically with a small flick of your wrist and indicate others about the direction you want to go.

It’s good to spend $14.95 to avoid an accident.

What would you say about the Fruit Clock that combines micro-electronic technology with the natural electrical potential of a fresh fruit or vegetable? It basically is a digital clock and calendar, which is powered by food, which follows the unique scientific principles, foundation of all modern electrical storage batteries.

All you need to do is, to get the Fruit Clock going, add natural electrical power resource, such as a fresh orange, apple, lemon, lime, pear, banana, or any another seasonal fruit or vegetable to supply the needed components to the device.

Fully loaded with a Time viewing Module, Jumper wires, Rubber Stop and Frame, the Fruit powered digital clock is accessible at a reasonable cost of $ 14.95. Certainly a cool gadget that not only gives a different look but supports natural power sources as well.
