Casey Jones’ Ultrasonic Wine Ager
I am having tough time believing this but if this device does what it promises then wine lovers are up for a treat. Casey Jones claims that the machine developed by him can convert any wine into a vintage wine in just 30 minutes. This normal looking ice bucket is actually equipped with cutting-edge ultrasonic technology that can convert freshly brewed wine into vintage wine. Ultrasonic Wine Ager attains this feat by colliding alcohol molecules inside the bottle and in mere 30 minutes the product is converted into exotic vintage wine. Casey Jones says, This machine can take your run-of-the-mill £3.99 bottle of plonk and turn it into a finest bottle of vintage, tasting like it’s hundreds. It works on any alcohol that tastes better aged. Even a bottle of paint-stripper whisky can taste like 8-year-aged single malt. Supposedly, this amazing little machine will retail for £350 when Mr. Jones’ company Inventors Showcase Ltd finds a manufacturer. Even at £350, this machine sounds like a bargain and I am sure that wine lovers will surely be looking forward to own one. Image Via: dailymail
HandshoeMouse – A mouse that soothes your hands as you click!
Hippus’ HandshoeMouse looks like a smaller replica of a spacecar but has been designed to soothe the hands against strenous clicking for several hours. It has been designed in collaboration by two medical universities in Holland where anatomy and ergonomics experts really toiled for some time to come up with the design. Hippus’ HandshoeMouse let’s the hand completely rest upon its surface, unlike the others wherein at least one finger needs to be clinged up with each click. Experts claim, this makes a lots of difference at the end of several thousand clicks – when others start injuring the ligaments whereas this one keeps them intact! Hippus’ HandshoeMouse is available in black or white in three different sizes for different palms. The one in this pic is designed to occupy the right hand but there’s also a lefty version available. Price €120 ($166). Source: engadget

Violin Phone: Bringing the fun back to landline phones
I don’t know if it’s sweet or stupid but it’s weird for sure, albeit in a good way. The Violin Phone can be used by those few who still rely on landline phones for communicating to their loved ones. Violin Phone, kind of, brings the fun back to landline phones. It is just a simple phone entrapped inside a fancy case as you can answer and dial calls the old way. It also features mute key, luminous dial-pad and pulse/tone switch. Phone measures 3" x 3" x 4 1/2" (when folded) and weighs 619 grams. The phone comes with a number pad; though I wish it had a dial like those good old retro things. If you are game for such a phone then you can buy it from sourcingmap for $19.99. Video after the jump shows the Violin Phone in action. Via: geekalerts
Eco-friendly boots that make ‘green’ chic
I’m not too comfortable with the term eco-chic, but “green’ seems to be the buzzword even in the fashion industry, so one might as well go with the flow. OK, so autumn is here, or should be anyway, and it’s time to bring out the boots. No better way to make a statement come the cold, windy days, right? This year, boots will establish your green credentials with this list of eco-conscious booties. Choose from $1,145 “Stella McCartney Tall Buckled Boot,” which is made of faux leather, to $159.95 “Vegetarian Shoes Amber Boot,” which is made from synthetic microfiber material, used in yachting upholstery. Then there are the “Toms Shoes Red Wrap Boot” which, priced at $118, might not be eco-conscious but are socially so; Toms shoes promises to donate a pair of shoes to a child in need for every one of these red beauties sold. So just go out there and buy a pair that fits your pocket, and more importantly your size. Via
GPS cow hats to the aid of rough-n-tough cowboys
Cowboys are famous for their rough-n-tough macho lifestyles. However, their seemingly adventurous lifestyle may have many sorrows of its own – the loss of the cattle being one of the gravest of them! It’s certainly not at all an easy task to take care of the hordes of the hundreds of cattle, especially during their grazing spree when each one can drift in any direction it wishes and thereafter getting misplaced. The guys at the MIT in collaboration with its Department of Agriculture have come up with an innovative GPS hat that mounts on each animal’s head and transmits its geographical coordinates to the central server. The hat generates a music signal if the animal drifts away from the prespecified area. If this attempt fails after a certain amount of time, the hat generates a weak electric shock so that the animal gets back into its permitted boundaries, without any human intervention. Once there, it isn’t harmed with the notorious shock. However, cows need to be ‘trained’ with this stuff! As suggested, this equipment has a potential to take away the chances of livelihood of the cowboys as herds could be taken care of by the guys sitting in their boardrooms, thousands of miles away. However, this won’t be a threat as it’s impossible to install the device on each animal’s head. Also, despite whatever the developers claim, no animal would be intelligent enough to return on its own. It’s always going to be the cowboy who does the final nudging! Source: navigadget
Newtonian Mice Wheel goes digital; rotates with keystrokes
Mice wheel was one of the petty inventions of the greatest physicians of all time, Sir Issac Newton. It harnessed the muscular energy of rats to rotate pulleys which then in turn triggered the mechanisms Newton required to carry out his experiments. In short, they were a very large pool of mechanical energy substantial to carry out the then gear mechanisms. With the advent of electricity this bright invention lost its importance and was replaced by electric pulleys and gears. USB Mice Wheel can be called as a tribute from the digital age to the 17th century physics genius. Once plugged into the computer, the wheel automatically rotates with each keystroke from the keyboard. The speed of the rotation of the wheel is proportional to the typing speed. Also, the rodent you see there is an artificial one and you need not feed it on your computer desk! Something sort of a ‘restless indicator’ that bosses in IT firms would crave for; yet, an intelligent choice! Source: Redferret
